Well we made it.. What started out as a life-long hobby, turned into a small part time business, and when I say "Business", what I mean is that I could pay for some tools along the way. 2017 saw Justin Wood grow, and my love and passion that I always had all those years for creating things became more and more evident. Justin Wood picked up some momentum and I really wanted this to be a bigger part of my life. Now its 2018 and Justin Wood IS a bigger part- things have just worked out that way. (Everything works out for a reason and all that..)
Last January I set out to try and make as many new things as I could. I initially planned to try and post about them. Turns out I made so many, I have no idea of the final number. This January I am setting out to make Justin Wood pay the bills. It's a big ask and a big challenge, but I am up for it, and not under any illusion that it will be an easy road. (Even the last year was tough enough, and we were not relying on it!)
I have switched up between "I" and "we" here, and I know this entry is probably my old English teacher's worst nightmare, but lets face it, yes I do most of the "work" but Ruth and the boys always have to play their part, and whether I like to admit it or not I need their support, so I'll just continue to switch it up if that's ok. This is a family business!
Here's to more Etsy sales, more custom furniture commissions, new workshops- and hopefully new tools!
Also, a prosperous 2018 to you guys- anyone that supports me is literally keeping a dream alive, and that's not easy- so cheers!
Let's do this 2018!
